A Helping Hand

Helping our friends at:
Camp Waban in Sanford, Maine
Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine

In December 2008, Southern Maine Renewable Fuels began "A Helping Hand" initiative which contributed $10.00 from each customer's December purchase in York County to support programs at Camp Waban, and $10.00 from our Cumberland County customers to benefit Camp Sunshine.

We are pleased to report that in 2009, Southern Maine Renewable Fuels contributed over $2700.00 to these two Southern Maine programs.

In 2010, we are continuing our helping hand initiative. When you purchase one or more pallets of wood pellets or bio products from Southern Maine Renewable Fuels, $10.00 per customer per year will be donated to either Camp Waban or Camp Sunshine. It's our way of lending "A Helping Hand" in support of these two outstanding organizations.


For over 40 years, Waban has provided high quality services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.		Camp Sunshine provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child’s illness.
